What can I say, my friends are truly special, and after a great night out yesterday enjoying cheese fondue in Gruyères tonight we stayed home and cooked 5 star cuisine once again.
Day 1243 – July 27th, 2017
Together we prepared dinner
Stefano cooked his delicious herb crusted lamb racks, which are always a hit, and with them we served polenta, green beans & cherry tomatoes and Johns jus.
The finished meal was absolutely delicious. Fit for any top class establishment… accompanied by a magnum of Barberesco from 2013.
We decanted the wine well before dinner time and it was perfect especially when appreciated from a fine Riedel class.
For dessert we enjoyed a nut torte from one of the local pastry shops in Bern. With this we enjoyed a bottle of Elena.
After dinner Stefano turned back the clocks and we listened to many songs from the 80’s. It was a wonderful evening once more.
A few after dinner drinks with coffee listening to the tunes always creates great emotions.
