If you like biscuits then there is nothing better than a visit to the Kambly Biscuits Experience in Trubschachen. This is the actual factory where they produce the famous Kambly biscuits that are exported all over the world.
Day 1229 – July 13th 2017
You can actually take a train and it stops right outside the store and if you’re lucky you might even get to ride the actual Kambly train.
Kambly all started with the butter Bretzeli and is still made with the same recipe today.
Naturally, the Kambly Biscuits Experience in Trubschachen is a huge tourist destination and can be quite busy.
The best part is that you can sample as many biscuits as you like, there is no limit. But be careful as they are rich and delicious.
The selection is vast and each aisle has different sorts to try. Some varieties are only made at certain times of the year which make them even more special.
As you can see, I was not joking when I said there are loads of biscuits to taste.
Each year an artist is chosen to create the design for the Kambly tin and on display are all since the beginning.
Make sure you see the story of Kambly towards the rear of the shop. Here you can sit and watch the narrative of how Kambly began and how it is today.
These goldfish are some of the very first Kambly biscuits that I ever had.
In the Kambly cafe, you can enjoy a beverage and even more treats. You can even collect a few samples and enjoy them with your coffee, shhh. There are a few Kambly chefs working here aswell producing biscuits and other items whom you can ask questions.
This is also a place where they allow you to be hands-on in some preparation.
Kambly Biscuits Experience in Trubschachen is a must do when in Switzerland.
