Queen Elizabeth Bracing Colder Climates En Route To Japan

Day 11 – 14th March 2014

En route to Japan.

This morning we were up a little late and decided to have breakfast in the Britannia. The restaurant was quite at this time.

Between 10 and 12 this morning we had to collect our passports as we will be disembarking in Japan. The ship has had them in storage since we embarked in Brisbane. The queue was long but it was organised and we received ours in quick time. We followed this by having a lunch in the Golden Lion Pub were we both had fish n chips with a Guinness shandy.

A little swell today and getting colder. Moni wanted a Cunard fleece jacket and found one she liked. Now we have even more luggage, but later on she decided to leave a few things to the room attendant which he appreciated.

“We had a coffee in the cafe with some… Yes you guessed it, strawberry tarts”

Unfortunately Moni had a headache (must be all those strawberry tarts) and we decided to stay in our cabin for dinner. I phoned and placed the order for room service, consisting of soup, pasta, chicken curry, quesadillas, and desert. It was not before it arrived, all piping hot and very tasty, a much better experience than our previous lunch encounter.

Moni soon feel asleep after enjoying her dinner and then managing to finish reading her book while I watched James Bond on TV. I placed an order for breakfast and feel asleep, all in all a quiet day at sea.
