The Channon Markets can be found in The Channon which is central between Lismore & Nimbin in northern NSW. They are on the 2nd Sunday of each month between 9am and 3pm. No pets are allowed and there is plenty of parking for $2.

The market itself had a variety of stalls ranging from hand made crafts, paintings, plants, massage and aromatherapy, food & coffee, did I mention food lol 🙂

The stalls are arranged around the outside of an oval or cricket field. There is a small stage/tent in the middle where a live band was performing. Other musicians were at various points throughout.

If we hadn’t eaten at the markets we could have made a stop at the Channon Tavern which from the outside looks inviting.

After leaving the markets we continued on our loop which took us through the hippy town of Nimbin. The way is very beautiful and the roads quite tight in places.
