Embarkation Day of our Pacific Eden 3-day Cruise
Embarkation day of our Pacific Eden 3-day Cruise from Sydney to Adelaide.
Day 1787 – January 27th, 2019
Before I take you on a photographic tour of the P&O Pacific Eden let’s begin the day in Sydney.
Checkout from the Arts Hotel around 9.30 this morning so that we could have a leisurely walk to the cruise terminal. I had tried to keep this all a secret to Moni and even though she had a very good idea of what I had planned, she didn’t know where what or which cruise.
We made our way slowly through Hyde Park in Sydney where we stopped and relaxed in nature for a while, just passing time in a relaxing area.
Once Moni saw the ship in Sydney harbour she was very excited and told me all along that she knew we’d be going on a cruise. We had a coffee from Le Renaissance which if you sit out the front, you can see the ship clearly at the overseas passenger terminal.
Checkin was a breeze and we were soon making our way onboard. The biggest hurdle here is often security and it was no different today. It just becomes a bottleneck area of people sorting themselves out to go through security checks, empty all water bottles, etc.
Normally we book a balcony cabin, but for this short cruise there was a huge price difference from oceanview to a balcony and as this deal was for the OV cabin category it’s what it had to be.
We had a small bathtub with shower over, not that we used it but was a bit different than almost all other cruises we’ve been on. I’d actually imagine that this would not be ideal for the elderly or those who are not so mobile.
The cabin was fine and they soon changed the beds to make one queen, yippee 🙂
Now to explore the Pacific Eden…
Time for some cocktails and enjoy the sail away from Sydney.
