We walked around a bit before stopping here. This place is very informative and you get to see the Bald Eagle like never before, well for us anyway.

They have lots of stuffed animals on display so if that’s not your thing don’t go. But if you want to get up close to a full size bear and walk away without a scratch then this could be your best chance.

Coffee from Mountain Market in Haines

After all that bearing around it was time for a coffee. Along the road you’ll come across the Mountain Market, a decent sized shop come cafe. The coffee here was excellent even in paper cups.

Bamboo Room Restaurant in Haines

We stopped at this place for lunch and some local brew, it was a very tasty meal and well recommended to those up this way. It’s just up the hill on the left going up.

What can I say, Haines is beautiful and yes we did have fantastic weather which certainly helps, but I do believe that this place would be wonderful in winter as well. That will be left for us to experience on another visit.
