Walking From Bettmersee to Chüestall to Riederalp
Let me start today already up on the mountain. Yes we took the Schönbiel chair lift up and began our walk towards the Bettmersee.
Day 1249 – August 2nd, 2017
Day 6 Bettmeralp
We managed to photograph a few of the colourful varieties on the Alp today, I’m not sure exactly what’s what but they are pretty.
This road to nowhere, except over the edge looked cool.
The cows are on the trail
Much of the Alpine region is shared with wildlife, be that Murmeltier or sheep or cows or anything else that can live up here. Today on the walking path we crossed a group of cows.
They are wonderful animals and peaceful, just don’t get in their way… They scared me bigtime.
The sign shows the direction we need to take and the estimated time. We have around 20 minutes to the Bettmersee.
And sure enough, we could soon see the Bettmersee in front of us.

Amazing water colour photos above and below, both different.
The walk goes on heading towards Gopplerlücke.
But now we have a choice, break for some lunch or continue… Up to the Chüestall restaurant for some lunch.
Bergrestaurant Chüestall Blausee
This place is in a wonderful spot, just below from the middle gondola station on the Moosfluh run. It’s a totally renovated old cow shed.
Lunch was very nice as well.
After lunch Moni & I walked on towards Riederalp whilst Brass & Mister took a shorter route home.
Riederalp village below
Riederalp has a 9 hole golf course and with every hole comes a stunning view.
Once we reached the village it was time for a coffee at Dany’s restaurant.
Finally we reached the chalet and had time to relax.
Today’s walk was hours and we covered km
