Backstage Tour on Celebrity Millennium
Continuing on from our Galley tour of Celebrity Millennium earlier we were also fortunate enough to go backstage and take a look what goes on behind the production shows.
We did a backstage tour…
Now, these backstage tours on most ships have been at an extra cost, today no cost. Although it is ‘only’ behind the stage, anyway let’s go for a look behind the curtains.
Before we get to look behind the stage, we’re treated to some Q&A with four of the cast from the Celebrity Millennium. They are all very young and fit, as you’d need to be to throw yourself around on stage.
We make our way to the side of the stage and in behind via a side door, clearly marked ‘authorized personnel only’
From here we are by the side of the stage where a TV monitor shows the stage and a microphone with the script of what’s going to be run down of the particular show.
Making our way more in behind the stage now, we see the things that are not in use all tied up out-of-the-way. No flash paint job done in here, just plain old white with air ducts showing pipes running left and right, all very typical of behind the scenes areas.
Next up we come to the Dressing room where the performers change and ‘quick change’ into the costumes for the shows. It’s like a long hallway with all the garments hanging a few chairs with mirrors an ironing board, steamer etc.
From there we make it back out onto the stage from the other side.
And that completes our backstage tour on Celebrity Millennium.

I think we were quite fortunate to be able to see behind the stage area today for free. Have you seen backstage before? Is acting your kinda thing? What behind the scenes tours have you done on your cruises? We’d love to read about your experiences, so go ahead and tell us in the comments below.
