Celebrity Millennium Cruise Review – Tour Around The Ship

Let us continue along with the tour around the Celebrity Millennium. After boarding the Millennium yesterday we are now beginning our first full day at sea.

Day 69 – May 11th.

Cruise Day 2 – At Sea

Started the day with room service breakfast before taking a look around the ship.

Café al Bacio

Coffee and cake then back to the cabin to unpack as we didn’t do it the night before due to the bags arriving late.

Lunch was pizza slices and some salads from the buffet, where we met Lorraine & Andy.

The seas are very calm and shiny flat.

And the sun is warming us through the cabin windows.

First Impressions of Celebrity Millennium

Our first impressions, are that the ship is not so clean in areas and the buffet is average. Maybe due to the serving that is going on and the disinfecting of all areas more than normal. The reason is the crew are reducing the amount of guests touching things like tongs, serving spoons, salt and pepper shakers etc, even the beverages are served.

Many of the staff look rather dull and uninterested to say the least, maybe a reflection of the extra duties having to be undertaken.

Bistro on Five

This is the Bistro on Five (it being on deck 5) that requires and extra $10. They offer salads and sandwiches, crepes, burgers, wraps etc.

Cellar Masters on Celebrity Millennium

On the other side of deck 5, or I should say more of the whole area, is the Cellar Masters. This is a place where you can self serve wines, which you need to insert your cruise card in the dispensing machine before it will pour your desired drop. Servings range in size small medium and large if I can remember it ranged between $5 and $12, depending on the wine as well.

There is also a bar which opens at various times where you can have a range of beverages not just wine.

This evening is formal attire, so we dress up for dinner. Tonight we met up with our table companions Kim & Frank. We have a good time talking to them and enjoyed the evening.

Dinner was nice and the service good and we enjoyed the conversation with our table guests.

Tomorrow we will visit Hakodate and you can read about Celebrity Millennium in Hakodate to see what we got up to.
