MSC daily program 2015

MSC daily program 2015

Inside each daily program is always a daily specials paper, basically it is the same every day and a waste of ink and paper. I could include a photo of each day and the difference would be minimal almost the same for the main program, the cruise lines really need to have a bit more creativity when compiling and printing these.

We decided to sleep in today and only have a coffee this morning in the Gocce Bar, this is the view on the opposite side to where the bar is open, not many people like to sit on this side.

Promenade on ‘Amalfi’ deck 7

After lunch we had a walk on the promenade on ‘Amalfi’ deck 7, each deck has an Italian name. This walking deck is nice but unfortunately it doesn’t go all the way around, it stops at the rear where the L’Armatista lounge is.

There are always people walking back and forth on the promenade deck throughout the day.

I then left Moni to read in the atrium while the quiz was on, she blends in well, can you spy her?

I joined the team for todays quiz… It was all about who invented it? Needless to say I only knew two answers, but thankfully between the rest of the team we got 8/10. Our total from yesterday of 160 all up which was only 10 points off the lead, and with 8 correct answers being the best today we should still be in good contention.

After that we both went up on deck to warm up in the sun loungers, the air-conditioning works well. Later we went to the Spa where we booked a massage for tomorrow morning before relaxing in the thermal pools and steam rooms for a while.

After getting ready for dinner we had a pre dinner drink in the Ruby Bar where Moni enjoyed a caipariniha and I a G&T, both covered with our drinks vouchers.

The Ruby bar is just outside of the dining room on deck 6 and some seats overlook the atrium with the waterwall, a wall that water runs down in to a pool that is only an inch or so deep and partly covered with glass and where a piano stands in the middle.

It is here that from 7pm M&B Jazz Duet entertain with “great classics” before dinner and later Trio Retango entertainment group play. We only listened to the duet as they played at our time slot before dinner, the others were playing when we came out of the restaurant.

On the opposite side is the Purple bar which is basically the same and both sides have shops with various bling items for sale which at 7.30 before dinner is not to much of a problem, but after dinner around 9.30pm it’s madness out there with so many people congregating to get in the restaurant for dinner at 10pm. The bar staff can hardly serve drinks and those exiting the restaurant have to battle to get by.

The guests for the next sitting in the Quattro Venti restaurant on deck 6 occupy the bar area just outside the restaurant on each side and because the shops with their tables set up take up most of the area to display watches and jewelery it becomes a bottle neck. Really not great for any passenger after dinner or having a drink in the bar.

Not great planning by the crew at all to have the displays there, but it’s all about the sales right…

We have dinner table guests

Arriving at out table for dinner we can see two guests have joined us. Where have they been all this time? Turns out that the table that they had been allocated was not enjoyable for them and eventually they asked if they could move, and here they are Shirley & Chris.

We had an enjoyable time with them and talked the entire time. They are from the Isle of Man.

Dinner was nice with Moni having a plate of vegetables again, while I had my usual 4/5 course with red wine.
