Our Camino – Day 6, Pamplona to Zariquiegui – 10.3 Kms

Day 6 of Our Camino

Day 531 – August 14th, 2015.

After spending a rest day in Pamplona we were up early and ready for the next hike.

Feeling somewhat better we didn’t want to over do it and decided to have a gentle walk of just over 10ks today.

As was the case walking into Pamplona, walking out seemed to drag on forever. Finally we leave the city behind as the way takes us towards the hill in the distance.

We passed a sign that advertised a cafe and so we followed it. This little diversion was longer than we anticipated walking in the opposite direction to find it.

The coffee’s were ok and the sweet croissants an added bonus.

We bumped into Cettina leaving Pamplona and again after our coffee break. We continued on together with Inge whom we met for the first time today.

Each of us with our pains or injuries walked and talked for hours until reaching Zariquiegui.

Zariquiegui, Albergue San Andrés on the Camino 2015

We checked into the Albergue here and stayed in a dorm with 8 bunks. Here the ‘Heilwolle’ was tested. More on that later.

After showering and washing we could enjoy a beer sat in the sun out on the street. Later we enjoyed conversations at dinner in the Albergue.
