Lunch at Main Beach Fort Lauderdale

Around lunch time we decided to head over the road and change some money, when we got to the bank they said they couldn’t change the cash and we had to go into town to do it.

Day 170 – August 19th.

With that we chose to have lunch first and went to the place where we would have gone last night with Susan but it was closed, and it was still closed when we got to it. Lucky for us though I spied a sign saying Tiki Bar and we took a look.

This place is beach front and belongs to the hotel, they also serve lunches and so we thought this was a good a place as any and ordered lunch and a couple of beers, $36.04 $40 with a tip.

It was another hot day and people walking on the sand were having to move quickly or burn.

With full bellies we walked to the next bus stop and then caught the 36 to the Galleria Mall and got off, $3.75. The currency exchange was not open and so we waited a while but then managed to change our foreign notes.

The exchange was not very secure which was strange, normally these sort of places are behind thick glass.

I noticed that the trolly stopped just outside the entrance and so we caught that back towards home, it was free.

We got off at the nearest stop and walked the rest, we passed an Italian Restaurant that we thought was the place were we had a meal last time we were here. Then a bit further the motel that we stayed at and here we decided to grab a coldie, two Coronas $10.00.

I think these are the places we stayed and ate at the last time we were here

The walk to the Travelodge was not far at all even though we were pleased to get in to the cool room.
