The rainy season has arrived in Medellin

Medellin is known as the city of eternal spring and 90% of the time it is spot on. However today the heavens opened and the storms have started, the rainy season has arrived in Medellin.

Day 210 – September 28th, 2014.

Actually it’s been a bit rough of late with the daily afternoon storms hitting hard. Just last week Medellin had some power cuts and flooding in parts of the city. Lucky for us we are able to enjoy the storms from the comfort of our apartment.

I love to watch the lightning and listen to the loud cracks of thunder. The good thing being that most of these afternoon storms pass through within a few hours.
