A Great Evening Out With Susan Scotts in Fort Lauderdale
After catching up on some much needed sleep due to the Red eye flight last night, we were excited to be getting ready to meet Susan Scotts a friend from Facebook in real life. A call from front desk came through and that began a great evening.
Day 169 – August 18th.
Susan picked us up in a brand new BMW 760Li, wow what a lush car.
Our first choice for dinner was closed as many places are on a Monday night, but I tell you that we were certainly not disappointed as where we ended up was great.
“The Three S’s restaurant at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort”
suited us very nicely indeed. A venue that Susan had on her list to try out, and was kind of cool that we could help her out doing so, lol.
“Sun Surf Sand hence the three S’s was beach front”
even though there is a road between, but still a great location. It was a nice atmosphere and quiet as we were early and we enjoyed a few drinks and some wonderful Chardonnay with before our delicious meals. The girls brainstormed some ideas and and critiqued some material I added my thoughts, as you do.
“As you enter the restaurant you are instantly hit with a wood fire smell”
which is featured on the menu, which has a good selection of dishes to chose from, the idea being to share, but you could easily have a normal three course if you wanted. We chose a round of dishes for our first course then the same for mains and shared. They were all very nice, but the consensus was that the starters were the best.
Around 8pm just as the sun was gone the night time crowd started to fill up the restaurant and the atmosphere was buzzing with great background music above the chatter from the busy tables.
Time for Susan to head home and drop us off. Thank you Susan for a wonderful evening sharing your time and energy with us which was awesome.
