Mount Dutton Bay Woolshed & Cafe
We have had the pleasure of visiting the Dutton Bay Woolshed for coffee & cake on numerous occasions whilst house sitting on the Eyre Peninsula.
Day 1682 – 13th October 2018
Jacqui Giles, who has been the owner for many years and has restored the woolshed to how it is today runs the business. There is a small museum open to the public just inside the cafe and a caravan park around the back.
The walls are covered in various pieces of art, which is for sale, along with other items that decorate the shed.
The Mt Dutton Bay Woolshed is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 till 4 pm. You can find a choice of hot meals from the menu, like fish n chips, pizza, seafood mornay pie, steak pie etc, or if you fancy something sweet then try something from the sweet cabinet.
We always had a small flat white and a piece of homemade cake, sometimes chocolate mud cake or lemon meringue or chocolate ganache with candied orange or baked cheesecake or others that are on offer.
Two coffee & cake cost around $20
Don’t forget to say hi to the very friendly dog “Alaska” who will probably greet you at the door.
As you can see, the Woolshed can be booked for a variety of events.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Jacqui for her hospitality during our stay.
